Conditions of the Studies:
The ICPF is accredited in ten academic disciplines (AT, BT, FCH, CHEZP, CHI, CHTOŽP, CHTPP, LB, OCH, OT) along with the University of Chemical Technology in Prague and in four academic disciplines (ACH, EV, FCH, OCH) along with the Faculty of Science of Charles University; while Graduate Studies are always in compliance with the rules of the University. You attend lectures and take ongoing tests at this school. After State Doctoral Exam and Doctoral Dissertation Defence you will receive the title ‘Doctor’ (Ph.D.). Financial security, dormitory accommodation, student fare of the Prague Integrated System, insurance, taxes, etc. are similar to conditions that other Graduate students have at the University. Upon agreement it is possible to complete the Graduate Studies at another University.
Deadline and Required Application Components:
Applications with CVs, evidence of educational achievements and previous experience, list of published papers and other results of professional activities (student papers, publications) are accepted by the Dean’s Offices of competent faculties of the UCT till 16 April 2018 or by the Personnel Office of the ICPF (Mrs. Křížová – email@example.com) till 9 April 2018. The Student Affairs Office of the Faculty of Science of Charles University has a deadline on 30 April 2018. If you decide for Graduate studies at the ICPF it is necessary to specify the topic in the application, which is selected from the ICPF project menu. We recommend to visit the Institute in advance, or at least contact a supervisor via e-mail.
Place and Date of Interviews:
The interviews are organized based on the topic either at the UCT Prague or at the Faculty of Science of Charles University in Prague, which will provide you with further details after you submit your application.
Purpose of Interviews:
- to assess the qualification and seriousness of applicant’s intention,
- to choose an appropriate topic and approve the supervisor and consultants,
- to preliminarily clarify the curriculum.
The Dean’s Office will inform the applicant about the admission, followed by the enrolment in studies and delivering the student index in September. With these documents, you will come to our Personnel Office (Mrs. Křížová), where you can sign a contract of employment. Your position of a full-time student at the University is not impaired by this involvement.
